Some of the most important anticipated rules related to the pool facility are listed below. This is not a complete list of rules and they are subject to change from time to time upon notice to PRC members.
General Policies
Definitions
"Child" and "Children" refer to any person(s) under the age of 14.
'PMA" refers to the Pinebrook Master Association.
"Pool" refers collectively to both pools, the hot tub, and the deck space.
“Pool Facility” refers collectively to the Pools, building, and surrounding area.
"PRC" refers to the Pinebrook Recreation Center, Inc. which is the owner and operator of the Pool Facility.
Access
The Pool Facility is for the sole and exclusive use of PRC members, household members and their guests. The Pool Facility will be kept locked at all times.
Babysitters/Child Supervision
All Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while using the Pool Facility. A babysitter who is 16 or older is welcome at the Pool Facility as a free guest to the family while caring for PRC member Children.
Behavior
No running, rough-housing or ball-playing around or in the Pool Facility unless it does not interfere with others’ ability to enjoy the Pool Facility.
Flotation Devices
Extra-large or mattress-type flotation devices are not permitted in the Pools at any time.
Food and Beverages/BBQs:
Food and beverages may be brought into and consumed within the Pool Facility.
No glass is allowed in or around the Pool Facility.
PRC members and their guests are expected to clean up after themselves and dispose of any waste in the appropriate trash and recycling containers on the premises.
Adult members (over the age of 21) are permitted to drink alcoholic beverages on the PRC premises in a responsible manner.
BBQs are for the shared enjoyment of all PRC members. Please keep the space clean and clear when not in use. Covers should not be placed on hot BBQs. Please bring and take your own BBQ tools.
Guests
Free Guest Passes: For the PRC’s first year of operation, each membership category will be provided with the following number of free guest passes:
Daily Limits: No more than four guests may join the member at the Pool Facility on any day without advance permission from the PRC.
Larger Groups: Any member that wishes to bring more than four guests on any day must complete, in advance of their intended use of the Pool Facility, a Pool Group Use Application. Approval will be based upon the expected usage of the Pool Facility at that time. Groups of five or more guests are generally limited to three hours in duration. Subject to availability, a maximum of 2 events with five or more guests will be permitted for each member household during the PRC’s first year of operation.
Guests Must Be Accompanied by a Member: Guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times.
Guest Policy Revisions: Guest policies will be revised by the PRC Board in its discretion from time to time with a goal of ensuring that the Pool Facility can be enjoyed by all members without overcrowding at all times.
Hours/Dates of Operation
The Pool will be open during the summer season only. After the first year, the pool will be open from at least the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through at least Labor Day weekend, and possibly later into September depending on the weather. From 6am-9am each day, the main Pool will be reserved for lap swimming only. The Pool Facility will close:
Kiddie Pool
The Kiddie Pool is for the exclusive use of children 5 years of age and younger and only when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult or babysitter. Kickboards, large toys and choking hazards are not permitted in or near the Kiddie Pool.
Lifeguard
There will be no lifeguard on duty at any time. PRC members and their guests will use the Pool Facility at their own risk at all times. The PRC will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur while using the Pool Facility.
Lost Items/Theft
PRC is not responsible for any lost of stolen items on the PRC property. Lost & Found items will be stored on the ground floor of the clubhouse and lost valuables will be secured with an identified PRC representative. PRC is not responsible for any damages, thefts or accidents that occur in the parking area.
Lounge Chairs
Adult members have priority on lounge chairs. Lounge chairs may not be "saved."
Music
When other members and guests are present at the Pool Facility, members and their guests may listen to music in the Pool Facility only through headphones or earbuds.
Non-swimmers
Poor swimmers, non-swimmers or children supported by floatation devices must be supervised by an adult in the water, at the shallow end of the pool at all times.
Parking
Members that live close to the PRC will be encouraged to walk or bicycle to the Facilities. For members that drive to the PRC, PRC members are expected to use the parking spaces designated for PRC members and their guests. PRC members and their guests will not use any designated PRC parking spaces when not using the Pool Facility.
Pets/Animals.
Pets and other animals are not permitted on the property except as required by law.
Photos and Webcams
PRC will have webcams installed in multiple locations for the benefit of our members. All of these cameras will be used for security purposes. Some of these cameras may be viewable by members, so that they can assess the crowdedness of Pool before visiting. Tapes from all of these cameras will be archived. Members may occasionally have their photos taken for promotional purposes and by using the Facilities they are deemed to have consented to photos of them for such purposes.
Recreational Equipment/Vehicles
No skateboarding, roller skating, rollerblading, cycling, hover-boarding, one wheeling, scootering and/or other similar activities are allowed in the Pool Facility or in the parking area at any time. No drones are permitted to be operated on or near the Pool Facility.
Smoking/Vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited at the Pool Facility.
Staff Members
The PRC may decide to have a staff member available, full time or part time, on-site, to help supervise and assist in the smooth operation of Pool Facility. Instructions or requests made by any staff member to anyone using the Pool Facility will be followed as if given by an officer of the PRC.
Swim Diapers/Pool Accidents
As required under Utah State Law, all children under 3 years of age, and those 3 or over without control of bowels, must wear a swim diaper AND waterproof/rubber swimwear over it while in the pool. Children under 3 years of age will not be permitted in the main swimming pool or the jacuzzi, even while wearing swim diapers. There will be a fine for an accident resulting from a child not wearing a swim diaper and/or rubber pants, and there will be an additional fine for not immediately reporting any such accident that has occurred in one of the pools.
